ATLANTA – As a large weather system moved across the state bringing several inches of rain, snow and high winds, Georgia Power is responding to service interruptions as quickly and safely as weather conditions allow, officials said. CONYERS, GA—The City of Conyers will begin accepting applications on Jan. 3 from city businesses and residents for its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grants. Funding will be given to 50 businesses and 250 residents who apply and meet certain criteria. The city, which received $6 million in  ARPA funds, has allocated $250,000 in assistance to be awarded to local businesses and another $250,000 to be awarded to residents.
